Brief
ICE is is the biggest institution for civil engineers in the world and currently represents about 80,000 civil engineers in 140 countries.
With the roll out of an updated ICE brand, the company was looking for a cost effective way of distributing brand guidelines and artwork, both for the launch and on an ongoing basis.
Solution
GlobusMedia built for ICE a web based extranet with different levels of security that provided secure access to the organisations artworks (stationery, presentations, brochures, etc), both internally to members and externally to advertising and design organisations. It furthermore provides a central ICE administrator with the tools to add and update artworks on the site without any technical knowledge.
The system was built to act not only as a central repository of all the artworks but also as an online reference for the company's brand guidelines that could be accessed easily from the extranet.
Results
By having a central repository, the company has effectively minimised the distribution costs associated with managing its brands. At all times, there is one master copy of each artwork that can be found in the online extranet resulting in increased control over the brand.
