Facelift Access
Facelift are the UK's largest independent access hire company, supplying equipment to businesses and individuals, enabling them to carry out their work in a faster, smarter and highly cost effective manner.
Brief
Facelift required a multifaceted website. One that had both an eCommerce facility for Facelift's "Access and Safety" online shop as well as a "Machine Finder" system that would allow people to find an appropriate machine to hire based on specified criteria.
Navigation had to be easy to use with a "no frills" industrial approach that reflected the industry that Facelift operates in.
Solution
GlobusMedia developed a website that essentially had two integral sections (on line shop and machine finder). On top of these two sections resides standard html text pages detailing normal information such as contact details, news etc.
The online store can be maintained by Facelift internally and updated accordingly. It is easy to use and a cost effective solution for Facelift's Access and Safety shop.
The second main section, being the Machine finder, was custom built after detailed analysis of Facelift's operations and investigation into the easiest way to identify equipment that Facelift's customers would be looking for. The Machine finder allows a potential customer to search in any of 3 different ways to locate the appropriate machine. Once located the client can then view pricing and more information before contacting Facelift directly to confirm the booking.
Once the website was built, search engine submission was implemented and the site now receives upwards of 12,000 visitors per month.
